OMG at SMP presented by St LAC and OMG

It’s a MINI invasion at Shannonville Motorsport Park hosted by the St. Lawrence Automobile Club (St LAC) and OMG (Ottawa MINI Group), July 25th, 2021.
OMG at SMP! provides you with the opportunity to join fellow Mini owners and fellow St LAC members for a full day of lapping at Shannonville Motorsport Park. Drivers will be assigned to an appropriate group based on comfort and skill. And now you have the chance to visit with representatives from Toronto Mini and Ottawa Mini. We’re excited to have them join us and perhaps just make it possible to see what’s in-store for 2021.
Camping is available at no extra charge on-site for those of you who wish to arrive on the Saturday evening. So why not sit back and relax knowing you’ve got plenty of time on the clock? The Snack bar will be open all day Sunday.
The Events
There will be a variety of configurations for you to enjoy throughout the day.
The Costs
The Early Bird Special:
1. Register on or before May 1st: $250 plus $35 for the mandatory joining of St LAC. The total will be $285. The eTransfer email for this event is listed below under Registering.
2. After May 1st the price will be $275 plus $35 for the mandatory joining of St LAC (this is a requirement of Shannonville and our insurance policy). The total will be $310.
Please keep in mind that our day goes rain or shine. Entry fees are non-refundable.
The Day
Registration opens at 07H15.
Driver meeting at 08h00.
Lapping for the first group will be off at 08h30.
Event closure will be 16h30.
Registration closes July 20th, 2021. The event is being capped at 48 people/cars. If there are vacancies, St. LAC members will get first dibs.
An orientation session shall proceed the day’s events along with the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the various track configurations online. We don’t want to see anything like this:
No previous track experience is required. All you need is a car, a DOT 2010 helmet or better for your noggin, and your enthusiasm along with some paperwork. So, come out and drive your MINI as it was intended or just tootle around. It’s your choice!
To members of OMG
Depending on interest and COVID protocols in place, OMG may convoy down and also secure a deal at local hotels to overnight before the big day. Camping is available at the track and washroom facilities are also available.
