Canadian Tire Motorsport Park announces Castrol Victoria Day eSpeedFest

Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) is excited to announce plans for a virtual version of the long-time racing event on Canada’s May long weekend. The virtual Castrol Victoria Day eSpeedFest will go ahead this weekend on May 16 and 17.
The e-schedule will include three virtual races throughout the Victoria Day weekend all hosted on the iRacing platform. These races will be shown live to our fans staying safe at home.
“Racing at CTMP on the Victoria Day long weekend has been a long time tradition. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis we are not able to hold the event this year, so to do something special for our fans we have decided to bring the event to you,” said CTMP President & General Manager Myles Brandt.

To kick off the weekend racing activities, the Saturday night feature will be the Wayfarer Insurance GT Pro Invitational featuring some of the best real-world drivers from Canada and some special guests in this double-header-format GT iRacing event utilizing the World Challenge Cadillac CTS-V race car. Stay tuned for the full entry list! This race will be live-streamed on G-Force TV at 4:00 PM EDT on May 16.
On Sunday the rumble of American V8 NASCAR engines will return to CTMP… virtually of course.
The second round of the Lacroix Tuning Canada Sim Racing Series will put real life Canadian racers like Kevin Lacroix and Alex Labbé in a head-to-head battle with the top qualified sim racers in this 150 km race. Sunday morning will feature a public qualifying race, with the top 3 finishers going to the main event later Sunday night so anyone with iRacing could race their way into the final! The qualifier race and final will both be broadcasted live on G-Force TV at 11:00 AM EDT and 9:00 PM EDT, respectively, on May 17. Click here if you are on iRacing and want to enter the public qualifying race!
The weekend’s main event will be the NASCAR Pinty’s Series iRacing Invitational for the Castrol 150 presented by Canadian Tire featuring past and present NASCAR Pinty’s Series drivers like DJ Kennington, Kevin Lacroix, Alex Labbé, Alex Tagliani, and more, with special guests like Daniel Morad & Stewart Friesen joining in on the action! This race will utilize current NASCAR Xfinity cars on iRacing as they go to battle at Canada’s Legendary Home of Motorsports. This race will be broadcasted on TSN at 7:30 PM EDT after SportsCentre following the NASCAR Darlington race!
Be sure to join in on the conversation and virtual party throughout the weekend by following us on social media and watching the races alongside us!
